Grief & Loss
Support after the death of someone you love, or the loss of a relationship, a future or the life you expected.
Teletherapy throughout California
I’m Amy Kyi Rattazzi, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker offering compassionate, collaborative, culturally responsive therapy for adults, children and teens throughout California, from San Francisco and the Bay Area to wherever you call home.
Meet Amy
Before private practice, I spent nearly a decade at Stanford Medicine Children’s Health and By the Bay Health. Through my work in pediatric care, medical social work, and bereavement counseling, I’ve supported people through complex medical experiences, grief and loss, fertility and reproductive challenges, and significant life transitions.
Growing up in the Bay Area shaped my interest in how culture, family, identity, and relationships influence the way we understand ourselves and navigate the world.
Areas of focus
Each person’s story is different. These are the experiences I most often support people through.
Support after the death of someone you love, or the loss of a relationship, a future or the life you expected.
Space for the hope, anxiety, grief and uncertainty of infertility, treatment decisions and family planning.
Support for new and expecting parents through the changes to identity, relationships and sense of self that parenthood brings.
Making sense of family expectations, multiple cultural identities and how your upbringing still shapes you.
Help finding your footing through career shifts, changing relationships and family roles, and uncertainty about what’s next.
What to expect
I believe therapy should be a space where you feel safe enough to show up as you are, including the parts of yourself that feel uncertain, overwhelmed, or difficult to share.
In our work together, we’ll make space for your emotions and experiences without judgment, explore patterns that may no longer serve you, and develop tools to help you navigate life’s challenges.
There is no one-size-fits-all approach to healing.
Children & Teens
Children and teens experience and express their emotions in different ways as they grow. Through age-appropriate and sometimes play-based approaches, I help young people build emotional awareness and confidence, and when appropriate, I partner with parents and caregivers along the way.
$200per 50-minute session
I’m a private-pay practice. All sessions are held by secure video for clients anywhere in California. If your plan offers out-of-network benefits, you may be able to get part of the cost reimbursed.
Reach out to request a consultation. Requests go through my secure client portal, so you can share as much or as little as you like.
